Iringa basket with lid | Natural XS

Our unique extra small square baskets feature a lid you can easily slide up the strap to reach into the basket. A great little eco-friendly purse that's lightweight and impactful.

Iringa baskets feature Finnish design and the traditional weaving technique of Iringa, Tanzania. The fusion of Tanzanian handicraft and Nordic elegance supports women through flexible, safe work and extra income for families and communities.

Handmade natural colour Iringa basket with lid is woven from milulu grass that grows along riverbanks in Tanzania. The milulu grass is carefully harvested and dried before weaving into beautiful, robust baskets.

The colour of milulu grass changes over time. When the basket is first woven, the grass has a shade of green. Over time, the colour will change from green to brown as shown in the product images. This process typically takes 1-2 months.
