Mifuko has long worked with our friends Lapuan Kankurit and designed many products for them. Lewa hand towels have fun grey and bordeux stripes. These linen towels are fast drying and absorbent making them ideal for the kitchen and bathroom. Lewa towels have been woven from 100 percent linen in Lapua, Finland.

Lapuan Kankurit – Masters of linen

Lapuan Kankurit has collaborated with Mifuko for several years now. Lapuan Kankurit and Mifuko share similar values of ethical production, sustainability as well as traceability. For us both design work means fun and ethically sustainable collaboration between countries, cultures and companies.

Jaana and Esko Hjelt are fourth generation of family entrepreneurs to lead Lapuan Kankurit which was founded already in 1917. The products are woven in the weaving mill in Finland. Ecological flax is grown in Europe and it is traceable 100 % European Masters of Linen long staple linen yarn. All yarns are spun as well as dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and fulfil the ÖKO-TEX certificate requirements.
