Rafiki canvas bag | Black

Rafiki means friend in Swahili, and as the name implies, the Rafiki bag is a friend for every day and any occasion for both men and women. The bag is made of sturdy water-repellent canvas, the bottom of the bag is made from tyre inner tubes and the D-loops on the handles are cast from recycled brass in Bombolulu.

You can use Rafiki as a backpack, shoulder bag or handbag. It can fit your clothes and other things you need for a three-day weekend trip or a small family grocery shopping trip.

Bombolulu workshop in Mombasa is a fair trade workshop that employs and trains disabled people and its profits are used to produce important items such as wheelchairs and crutches for those in need.

Mifuko baskets weave together timeless Nordic design and traditional African handcraft. Each unique item is a work of hands and hearts, beautiful yet durable. As a beautiful detail each of our bags is signed by the artisan who made it. We want their stories spread to all homes.

We are a certified member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Fair Trade certification ensures that products have been produced following WFTO's principles and putting people and nature first in everything we do.
