From our collection you can find ornamental wooden birds, that have been carved from fast-growing locally sourced Jacaranda wood by Kapya and his team. 

We can all celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness against bias, and promote equality. For us, empowering women and increasing gender equality is at the core of our business. 

Mifuko Trust has built dry toilets as a pilot project for two active members of self-help groups that cooperate with Mifuko.

Income earned by women is often allocated more fairly within households than by men and is spent on the kinds of consumption which better assure familial health and wellbeing. 

The tradition of weaving baskets in Makueni region of Kenya started in the early 1930's. The technique a basket-maker chose depended of the purpose of the basket.

Mifuko Trust received project support from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs for its WASH and Grow! project for the years 2021-2023. 

The key development problems addressed by the WASH & Grow! project are poor WASH conditions and degrading soil that hampers small-scale farming.

To celebrate International Women's Day 2020 we will plant 100 more trees to the farms of the Mifuko’s artisans!
