The photography collection "Weavers" vibrantly captures women met by photographer Sanna Saastamoinen-Barrois during her trip to Kenya in March 2023 to document the work of Finnish design brand Mifuko and the women's aid and advocacy organisation Mifuko Trust in the area.

The photos depict women who make their living through cultivating land and handcraft, captured in the midst of their daily life and environment. The photographic works tell a tale of the effects of climate change and the strength of a community in navigating and surviving those effects. They give a beautiful and vivid visual that echoes the core message of Mifuko Trust:
Empowering women promotes the well-being of the whole community.
