Mifuko Trust

About us

Welcome to Mifuko Trust web-page! Mifuko Trust was established in 2012 to promote the empowerment of women and the sustainable development of communities in rural Kenya. Our key partner is Mifuko Women Development CBO consisting of 40 women's self-help groups. Collaboration with the fair trade company Mifuko Ltd. forms the backbone of our activities. Members of the women's self-help groups produce baskets for Mifuko and are also small-scale farmers.

Mifuko Trust believes that small actions can lead to significant change. The organisation provides training and resources to women and community members, creating sustainable income sources that improve well-being. The projects focus on the well-being of women and girls, regenerative economy and ecological renewal.

At the heart of Mifuko Trust are the values of collaboration, equality, well-being and courage. We boldly innovate with communities and partners new ways to integrate local traditions with variuos sustainable development solutions.

Take a look at our website to find out more about our work and how you can support us. Together, we can advance women's empowerment and the well-being of communities!

2. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture
