Wooden and ceramic ornaments bring the warmth of craftsmanship into the home. The wooden ornaments are hand-carved from jacaranda wood in two Fair Trade workshops in Kenya: Kapya’s workshop in Nairobi and Paul’s workshop in Machakos. Some ornaments are hand-painted, while others retain the wood’s natural tone. The ceramic ornaments are shaped, glazed and fired by hand in Kenya using local clay. Hang the ornaments in a window, on a Christmas tree or decorative branch, or use the small animal figures as keyrings or bag charms.
Each ornament is signed by its maker. Mifuko ornaments are made as part of our WFTO-verified Fair Trade business model.
