Elephant grass

Bolga market basket | Natural M

The oval-shaped Bolga market basket is a beautiful and sturdy basket that you can use as a tote or storage basket. Pack your blanket and a good book and head out to the park and buy fresh groceries from the farmers market on the way home.

Artisans in Ghana weave bold, beautiful baskets. Designed with a Nordic twist, these baskets combine Nordic design and Ghanan handicraft to a multifunctional basket.

The handmade market basket is woven from elephant grass, which grows naturally in the north of Ghana. Both durable and flexible, elephant grass baskets can be easily cleaned and reshaped by moistening them with water.

Size: H28 x W51 x D25 cm

Each Mifuko product carries the name of its maker.

Radically sustainable

Mifuko baskets weave together timeless Nordic design and traditional African handcraft. Each unique item is a work of hands and hearts, beautiful yet durable. As a beautiful detail each of our bags is signed by the artisan who made it. We want their stories spread to all homes.
