Inseparable trio

Christine, Florence, and Alice sat next to each other when all the weavers were gathered together. They started chatting and one thing led to the other, and now they are now practically inseparable.

They tell the best thing about their friendship is that they are there for each other and always give the best advice in all matters. "Christine and Florence have always been there for me during tough times, and we all help each other during planting and harvesting season", Alice says. "I love Alice's generosity and selflessness", says Christine and continues: "and Florence always helps me whenever she spots a mistake in my weaving work."

Florence and Christine had never woven baskets before joining Mifuko. Florence has now been weaving for five years and Christine for seven. Alice began weaving before her joining Mifuko three years ago.

When we asked if they ever weave together, Christine, Florence, and Alice all say they do but not as much as they would like. When they do, they usually talk about farming, day to day life, and sometimes even sing choir songs together. Their friendship started due to weaving and is still blossoming.
