What is MADE51?

MADE51 is a global initiative created by UNHCR to support refugee artisans around the world. By connecting refugees’ traditional craft skills with international markets, MADE51 helps preserve cultural heritage while enabling artisans to earn sustainable livelihoods. Each product tells a story of resilience, talent, and hope, crafted by people rebuilding their lives far from home.

A Global Network of Skilled Artisans

Through partnerships with local social enterprises, MADE51 provides refugee artisans with fair working conditions, training, and access to global distribution channels. The initiative ensures that craftsmanship remains a source of pride and economic empowerment. Every MADE51 product carries the cultural identity of its maker — a unique blend of artistry, tradition, and human spirit.

Why Mifuko Is Proud to Collaborate with MADE51

Mifuko is honored to be part of the MADE51 network. Our values — fair trade, empowerment, and community-driven design — align closely with MADE51’s mission. Together, we support refugee artisans by creating dignified work opportunities and bringing handcrafted pieces to international audiences.

For Mifuko, this collaboration is a meaningful extension of our commitment to ensuring that craftsmanship creates real impact. The partnership celebrates human creativity and strengthens livelihoods where the need is greatest.
