The high-quality bag is woven from FSC-certified paper cord, and thanks to its dense weave, it also withstands moisture. The strap is made from vegetable-tanned leather.
The bag is designed in Finland and handwoven in Kenya as part of our WFTO-verified Fair Trade business model. Each handwoven bag is signed by its maker.
As each basket is handmade the size and shape may vary.
Mifuko Kiondo baskets are folded for transport to save space. You can shape the basket by spraying it lightly with water and then shaping it by hand. See the care instructions for more information.
