The golden weaver is a skilled builder in Kenya, weaving its nest from grass and leaves like a small basket. This bright yellow bird is particularly fitting as a Mifuko ornament, as weaving is at the heart of what we do too. The high-quality ornament is hand-carved from jacaranda wood and hand-painted.
The ornament is designed in Finland and hand-carved in Kenya as part of our WFTO-verified Fair Trade business model. Each hand-carved ornament is signed by its maker.
